About

I first started designing with Lego at age 10, and apply the same sense of fun to designing my kitchens today.

I began my "professional" design career when I started building and installing kitchens … experiences I still draw upon as a designer today.  My love of food, cooking and entertaining ad another level of understanding to my designs.  I achieved my Certified Kitchen Designer (CKD) accreditation in 2001, and continue my education through active participation in the local NKBA chapter.

Useful Spaces is a blog that features the latest in design (kitchen & otherwise), food and the occasional mention of the Vancouver Whitecaps FC.  Away from the world of design I enjoy time with my wife and family. I'm also an avid swimmer, traveller and cook.
